Since the early ‘80’s, the club has operated non-profit dental and optometry clinics which are staffed by volunteer dentists and optometrists. Most of our equipment has been secured through donations from USA Rotary Clubs and through Rotary International grants or in partnership with dentists from the United States who have donated their time and equipment generously. Dentists and dental hygienists have come from as far away as Australia to donate their services to the people of Mulege. We have many volunteers from the club and outside the club who work in the Clinic as dental assistants, receptionists, interpreters and cleaners. We have provided dental work for thousands of locals over the last 4 decades as well as eye exams and prescription glasses.

All dentistry and optometric services are provided on a suggested donation basis, no person is denied services for inability to pay. In addition to dentistry and optometry, when it is possible the clinic hosts other types of visiting healthcare providers.

Volunteers are always needed in many areas including dentistry, optometry, dermatology, facilities, bilingual receptionists, facilities maintenance and more.
